AGES 5–7
MOVEMENT THROUGH PLAY
Short, energetic activities build balance, coordination, listening, body awareness, and the first essential jiu jitsu movements.
Focus: Fun, attention, cooperation, and safe movement.
AGES 8–10
TECHNIQUE AND TEAMWORK
Students begin organizing movements into usable techniques while learning how to practice safely, solve problems, and be dependable partners.
Focus: Core positions, escapes, control, discipline, and teamwork.
AGES 11–14
REAL JIU JITSU SKILLS
Older students develop complete positional skills and learn to make decisions during controlled live practice. Competition can be available for students who want it.
Focus: Gi and No-Gi skill, composure, self-defense, and optional competition development.
MORE THAN A SPORT.
SKILLS THAT FOLLOW THEM HOME.
CONFIDENCE WITHOUT FALSE TOUGHNESS
Children build confidence by learning difficult skills, solving real problems, and seeing themselves improve—not through slogans or intimidation.
COMPOSURE AND PRACTICAL SELF-DEFENSE
Jiu jitsu teaches children to protect themselves, manage distance, control positions, and stay calm when another person applies pressure—without depending on punches or kicks.
COORDINATION, FOCUS, AND TEAMWORK
Every class requires movement, attention, communication, and cooperation. Children learn how to be both persistent students and responsible training partners.
PROGRESS THEY CAN SEE AND EARN.
Promotion should recognize more than winning rounds. Corvus can use stripes and belts to mark consistent training, technical growth, safe behavior, and growing responsibility.
STRIPES
Frequent milestones can recognize attendance, effort, technical development, focus, and responsible training habits.
BELTS
Belts mark larger stages of development. Each promotion should feel meaningful because it reflects sustained work and genuine improvement.
